USA Hockey SafeSport Program
If you are a 2007 birth year or earlier, you will be required to take the SafeSport Core Training or Refresher Course prior to participation for the 2024-25 season.
Once you have completed the Core SafeSport Course, there will be a Refresher Course available for individuals who have previously completed the core Safe Sport course and need to retrain. Users completing the SafeSport refresher course will be trained for an additional season. After completing Refresher 3, you will take the Core Training for the next season.
PLEASE NOTE that you will need your own USA Hockey Confirmation Number or Referee Number and your own email address to access the training. You can locate your number OR obtain a number here membership.usahockey.com.
The Creek Hockey program is committed to improving the development, safety and welfare of its players and all members involved in hockey and our organization. Therefore, it supports the USA Hockey SafeSport Program and CAHA SafeSport Program and requires all players, coaches and members to fully participate.
All players, parents, volunteers and coaches looking to participate in the Creek Hockey program at all levels needs to review the Cherry Creek Hockey Association Safesport Program Policies And Procedures, which includes the Creek Hockey Club Code of Conduct. Once you have reviewed the full policy and code of conduct each player will need to sign the Photographic Relase and any adult planning to volunteer will need to complete the Volunteer Agreement as directed by the policy. USA Hockey Safe Sport
The safety of its participants is of paramount importance to USA Hockey. USA Hockey Safe Sport is the organization's program related to off-ice safety.
USA Hockey has long had systems in place to protect its participants from physical abuse, sexual abuse and other types of abuse and misconduct that can be harmful to youth hockey players and other participants. These include without limitation Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Screening, Locker Room Supervision and Hazing Policies, in addition to Codes of Conduct applicable to administrators, coaches, officials, parents, players and spectators. The USA Hockey Safe Sport Handbook is intended to update and collect USA Hockey’s various policies to protect its participants from all types of misconduct and abuse.

The Center also serves as an educational resource for sports organizations at all levels, from recreational sports organizations to professional leagues.
